Why does this medicine make me so hungry? ?

Ok, so I've got these Seroquils. I think they are 50 mg or something, but I have to cut very small pieces off of it. I can get like 6-8 'servings' from one pill. If I take a whole one I feel awful the next day. Ok, so what I wanna know is why I get sooooo hungry when I take a piece of one. I wake up and eat, go back to sleep, and when i wake up for good, I eat again.
