Diabetes TYPE 2 - how to put on some weight?
Your improved A!C seems to be a clear indicator that your weight loss has had quite a beneficial effect. You've done a great job and are to be congratulated. Keep it up and you may not suffer the long term and often terrible consequences of walking around with an A1C of 10 for any length of time. Maybe you could try eating more of the good stuff you are eating and watch your blood glucose closely all the while to make sure increased intake isn't adversly affecting your glucose levels. Also, many endocrine physicians have a diabetic nurse or dietician on staff who can take the time to teach, monitor and coach you one on one. Might be worth finding out if your insurance will cover a diabetes educator, then finding one.
