What should I do after 12th to become an astronomer or astrophysicist?

I have completed my school n I m searching for a college. I m interested in astrophysics n cosmology and want to continue my carrier in the same field. I want to be a scientist. but I am not interested in machines n don want to be a scientist through engineering. I have completely no idea about what to do next. please help...
