Should i have protein shakes on days i dont workout?

Protein shakes help you meet your daily protein needs. But its a whole lot better getting your protein from real foods and not whey isolate. I am not saying the stuff isn't good, i am saying its over used. The best time to have one is after your workout so it can repair your muscles quickly. But other then that its not that great because it is quickly digested by your body. If you decide that your missing protein though then have one when you get up with a banana. The have one after you workout and one at night but mixed with milk because milk is good for the digestive system before going to bed.
