Is this ok or wierd?...i don't know wht to do?

me and my ex have known each other for two years we're prtty close friends...we dated for almost 8 months then we broke up about a month ago cuz we kinda grew apart and felt we weren't right for each other..there was no lies no cheating nothing like that in our relationship so we're still prtty good frnds..about three weeks after we broke up on the last day of school, he waited after school for me to say goodbye for the summer and i was just gonna give him a friendly hug but it turned out to be that bf/gf kinda hug..he put his hands around my waist and i put my hands around his neck and he picked me up..and then we had that awkward silence and before he left he kind of held my hand..so the thing is some of our hugs and conversations are still like we're together but we're not cuz we're not right for each other...i still think there's a possibility we'll get back together...wht do u guys think of this situation between us?
