I need a little advice here?

Most of the other people applying for this program will have a strong physics background and will be planning to get a PhD in the subject. You need to convince them that it's worth taking you on even though you don't seem to need it or plan to use the results. It also helps to talk about previous research you've done and what you liked about it.
