I am an Indian with bachelors in physics. My ambition is to become an astronaut.?

Now I want to go for higher studies in Astrophysics at IIA, Bangalore. But am not sure whether it will fetch me my dream career. Can anybody guide me? I want to know the scope for indians to become astronauts, where and how its possible, what are the requirements? Thanks in advance.
