Do you have to be a medical student to job shadow a doctor?

I'm in a community college right now and I was wondering if it would be possible for me to job shadow a surgeon? I just don't see how I will be able to decide on a career if I haven't seen what it is like for myself. I've already tried all the personality tests, research on different careers and now I've finally realized that I have to start experimenting. I have a wide variety of interests. I'm interested in biology, physics (ESPECIALLY Astrophysics), psychology, and I'm very good at writing. I think I really just need to job shadow.
